Lamar Jackson was one of the most sought after quarterbacks amongst fantasy football players going into this season. Behind Mahomes, most would say they had Lamar as their #2 QB this year. Through the 1st 4 weeks Lamar comes in at QB #9 right now (this could vary a few spots up or down depending on your leagues scoring format).
Now you may be wondering why this is the "Picture of the Day"? That is because I am telling you to sell Lamar Jackson. You might be thinking this is crazy and it is, but hear me out. I believe in most 10 and 12 man leagues there is enough talent on the wavier wire to stream a QB each week. Ryan Fitzpatrick, Teddy Bridgewater, Kirk Cousins and Joe Burrow to name a few of the QB's I am constantly seeing available.
If you are 4-0 or 3-1 maybe you skip this post completely and argue that this is a cold take. If you are 2-2, 1-3 or 0-4 right now I suggest you make some moves before you are left in the dust with everyone that got burned by Saquon tearing his ACL. You don't even have to have Lamar. I think selling high on a top QB in order to get back a solid RB or WR will benefit your team in the long run. (If your team is struggling) Quarterbacks are available.
The upcoming Ravens schedule may appear favorable with matchups against the Bengals and Eagles in the next 2 weeks, but following their bye in week 7, the Ravens face a gauntlet of teams weeks 8-12. Do yourself a favor and offer Lamar to a team that needs a QB and get yourself a Joe Mixon or Deandre Hopkins in return. You likely could get a 2 for 1 deal for Lamar.
Please let me know what you think of this take? Too hot or too cold?
